Aksana Zabara, CFA

Meet Aksana

Aksana is a member of the Office of the CIO, where she directs the research and development of capital market assumptions and oversees the construction and maintenance of long-term strategic asset allocation portfolios for a diverse range of institutional clients. Her work includes designing investment portfolios tailored to varying risk profiles for institutional clients and refining Strategic’s optimization process to maximize portfolio efficiency and achieve specific investment objectives. She also contributes to the opportunistic team’s investment diligence and selection of non-traditional strategies for dislocated markets. Aksana also leads Strategic’s investment analyst program. She serves as co-chair of Strategic’s Management Committee and serves on Strategic’s Operating Committee. Additionally, she is a member of Strategic’s Community Engagement and Advancement Committee, a cross-functional team that works to foster equitable access to opportunities within the firm and encourages broader interest in the financial industry through meaningful community outreach. ​

​Prior to joining Strategic, Aksana worked as a Loan/Benefit Officer at a local retirement trust company.​

​Aksana holds an M.B.A. from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a B.S. in Finance from George Mason University. She is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Washington, D.C.
