Meet Cherie

Cherie is Director of People at Strategic. She oversees the firm’s People and Culture function and works closely with the Executive Committee and Management Committee to align talent and business strategies. Cherie directs planning and execution of Strategic’s policies, procedures, and programming for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, compensation, benefits and payroll. 

Prior to joining Strategic in 2024, Cherie was Head, Corporate HR Business Partner for CoStar Group, an S&P 500 company and leader in Technology and Real Estate. Her decade of experience providing strategic HR partnership in the Finance and Technology industries includes Senior HR Business Partner at Common Securitization Solutions, the single securitization platform for uniformed mortgaged backed securities, and Associate Business Partner in Human Capital Management for Securities and Investment Management at Goldman Sachs, where she participated in the Veterans Integration Program. Cherie served in the U.S. Navy as a Military Working Dog Handler for explosives and drug detection and is a Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

Cherie's community involvement includes Troop Leader for Girl Scouts of the USA, prior State Administrator (Washington, D.C.) for veteran-led disaster response organization Team Rubicon, and volunteer for Bridle Paths equine-assisted therapy. 

Cherie holds a B.A. in International Studies from Old Dominion University and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from The Johns Hopkins University. She has a Certificate in Strategic Human Resources Leadership from Cornell University's ILR School.
