Meet Jason
Jason is a member of the Office of the CIO, where he oversees the investment risk management and monitoring of portfolios for a diverse range of institutional clients and directs the development of portfolio management and investment research analytics. His work includes the design and utilization of return and risk models to evaluate, stress, and analyze investment strategies and client portfolios across asset allocation, manager selection, and portfolio construction. He also supports Strategic’s research efforts in strategic asset allocation, dynamic asset allocation, and risk budgeting. As Head of Investment Risk, Jason is involved in each investment decision brought for discussion and approval through the Investment Committee and may independently veto any investment action. Additionally, he is a member of Strategic’s Management and Operating Committees. Jason began working at AEGON in 2004, and focused on municipal reinvestments and medium-term notes, valuation, structured products and, most recently, liquidity and collateral management. Prior to AEGON, Jason worked as Assistant Vice President at Jefferson-Pilot Life Insurance Company in annuity product development.
He holds an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University and a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Jason is a CFA charterholder and is a member of the CFA Society of Washington, D.C.
