Meet David
David works closely with the investment and research teams to develop and implement investment solutions that meet clients’ objectives. He also contributes to the firm’s investment teams and economic research. Prior to joining Strategic, David was Assistant Director in the Finance Department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where he was responsible for developing strategies to broaden and diversify the IMF’s sources of income and managing investments totaling over $20 billion. At various times during his 22-year career at the IMF, David was one of the principal authors of the IMF’s Global Financial Stability Report, managed the IMF’s pension fund portfolio of $2 billion, and analyzed financial and macroeconomic developments in countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe. He serves on the Investment and Finance Committee for the Community Fund for Oceana County, Michigan, and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union.
He holds an M.B.A. from the Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires in Fontainebleau, France, a postgraduate diploma from the London School of Economics, an M.Phil. from Oxford University, and a B.A. from Bowdoin College. David is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Washington, D.C. He holds the Professional Risk Manager (PRM) designation and is a member of the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association.
