Strategic Concludes Idea Lab Conference: “Redefining the Landscape of Institutional Investing”

On September 15-16, 2015, Strategic Investment Group hosted the latest Strategic Research Forum Idea Lab, “Redefining the Landscape of Institutional Investing”, in Washington, D.C. At a turbulent time in the global marketplace, the team at Strategic--and a glittering array of outside experts--examined current trends and cutting-edge innovations. During two days of workshops, panel discussions, and presentations, participants discussed and debated a wide range of pressing issues in the world of finance. From Smart Beta to hedge funds—from SRI to LDI—speakers and attendees explored the new reality of investing in a post-crisis world. One of the highlights was a keynote speech by Professor Robert J. Shiller, 2013 Nobel Laureate, after an elegant dinner at the Daughters of the American Revolution headquarters. Professor Shiller discussed the recently published third edition of his bestselling book, Irrational Exuberance, and led listeners on a tour of the financial horizon.
