Meet Valentina
Valentina co-leads the building of client partnerships. Additionally, she serves on Strategic’s Management Committee, Editorial Committee, and is a member of Strategic’s Community Engagement and Advancement Committee, a cross-functional team that works to foster equitable access to opportunities within the firm and encourages broader interest in the financial industry through meaningful community outreach.
Prior to joining Strategic, Valentina was a Director at Covariance Capital Management, where she headed a business development effort to provide comprehensive OCIO services to non-profits with complex investment and risk management needs. She has over 35 years of experience working in investment management holding senior leadership positions at Lattice (a private family office), Guggenheim Investments, iShares, and Lazard Asset Management.
Valentina contributed to the second edition of the Endowment Management for Higher Education (February 2022), a publication released by the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB), and Endowment Management for Foundations and Nonprofits (October 2022) published in partnership with AGB and the Council on Foundations.
Valentina holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles. She serves on the board of the International Women’s Forum of Washington, D.C., is co-chair of the Advisory Board for the BOW (Black Owner and Women’s) Collective, and is a member of the Board of Directors of PRO Youth & Family Collective. Valentina is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) professional. She has also been elected as a member of the International Women’s Forum (IWF). IWF's members are elected by IWF leadership and include more than 7,500 highly accomplished women considered to be leaders in their industry from 33 nations on six continents.
